I have been in the social work field for over twenty years. I have spent most of my career working with individuals and families who have experienced a significant amount of trauma and critical life transitions. Many of these experiences include working with individuals going through sexual abuse, divorce, major losses, domestic violence, and family conflict. I am also a developmental infant mental health specialist.

I provide individual therapy to adolescents, adults, and consults on early childhood issues. I concentrate on the developmental, psychosocial, and cultural needs of my clients. I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish and bi-cultural. I have experience working with Spanish speaking clients and the Latinx community. My belief is that therapy is strengthened and change occurs through a non-judgmental, comforting, and validating therapeutic relationship.

Everyone will experience some form of trauma and transition in their lifetime, I believe that we all have the capacity to change and grow with challenges. I empower my clients through building a relationship of safety, trust, and empathy. I create a non-judgmental space to explore struggles and develop coping skills that can be used outside of the therapeutic environment. Through the therapeutic relationship my clients develop tools to use in their personal growth and develop a better understanding of themselves. I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse population from young children to older adults. I work with clients to build insight, understand the connection of their life experiences and how it impacts their current thoughts and behaviors.

• Education : I graduated from the University of Chicago with a BA in Psychology. I received a MS in Child Development with a specialization in Infancy from Erikson Institute and went on to receive an MSW from Erikson Institute in Social Work.
