I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience. Social work is my third career. I have worked in banking and as a stay-at-home mom. As my children grew, I knew I wanted more in life and decided to return to school to get my master’s in social work. This interest grew out of my devotion to volunteer work guiding adolescents and young women to make healthy choices regarding women’s health and sexual intimacy. My interests have evolved to include healthy relationships, parenting, and the aging process. I have experience supporting people through the process and recovery from divorce which can sometimes prove traumatic.

My social work career began in community mental health at The Josselyn Center where I worked with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Through this experience, I learned that mental illness, like physical illness, doesn’t have to define an individual. When a person can see their struggle as a part of who they are, they have a choice about how to navigate this relationship.

Life throws many curve balls in our direction. Like a GPS in our car, we often must recalculate how we proceed. Sometimes relationships, parenthood and aging aren’t what we dreamed they might be and we must adjust. Therapy is a wonderful space to process these feelings and find hope. I truly believe that we all have the capacity to change, to find comfort, hope and happiness in ourselves and our relationships.

I draw from multiple treatment modalities including psychodynamic, Internal Family Systems, Intimacy from the Inside Out, Emotionally Focused Therapy and Gottman.
