About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with 20 years of experience providing psychotherapy to a diverse population of clients. I have considerable experience working in both private practice and the non-profit sector, providing clinical and programmatic leadership. My areas of treatment focus include working with children (13+), adolescents, young adults, and adults. I have extensive experience helping adolescents work through issues including building and maintaining positive self-image, appropriately adjusting to emotional, social, and life changes, and forming healthy and positive familial and peer relationships.
I strongly believe that relationships are the key to positive outcomes in psychotherapy. Regardless of treatment modality, building a positive, trusting relationship with clients comes first. That relationship allows me to understand, align with, and guide my clients through achieving their therapeutic goals, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy for individuals, and psychodynamic insight-oriented therapy.
- Insurance : I am an in-network provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois PPO and Medicare.
- Education : I received my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University’s The Family Institute.
