About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with teenagers, adults, and couples. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive environment to help my clients navigate the inevitable ups and downs of life. I truly believe in the power of therapy to help facilitate significant change and growth.
Before joining AiC, I spent six years in my previous role at another private practice, where I honed my skills in providing therapy to young adults and adults. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with a variety of clients helping them improve their lives through personalized and effective therapeutic interventions. I’m able to use my prior experience as a high school teacher to effectively work with teenagers to address their unique issues and challenges. I find it immensely gratifying to work with couples helping them with issues such as infidelity, communication and parenting.
I take an active approach to therapy by partnering with my clients to help them achieve their goals. I consider myself a skills-based therapist and like to both give my client’s resources and teach coping skills. Want homework? I’m your therapist! If not, that’s okay too! I like to take an individualized approach to each client.
Equally as important, I enjoy helping clients make sense and gain insight into their past and present allowing them to gain a better understanding of themselves and what they want in the future. My empathetic approach and professional expertise are at the core of my practice, and I am committed to being a trusted practitioner in the field.
Above all else, I believe the relationship between therapist and client is of the utmost importance. I firmly believe in the sanctity of my client relationships, focusing on building and developing trust. It’s an honor and privilege to be able to go on a journey of self-growth with my clients.
Coming from a psychodynamic and relational perspective, I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailoring my approach based on the unique needs of each client. I use the Gottman Method when providing therapy to couples.
