About Me

Since receiving my degree from Northwestern University’s The Family Institute in 1999, I have dedicated myself to helping people make meaningful changes in their lives. Working with adolescents, I tailor my approach to their world, often incorporating sports, music, technology, and social media to help them navigate their environments more effectively.

In addition, I focus on the relational issues individuals and couples face. Many couples come to me because they feel their needs are not being met and are uncertain about their relationship’s future. I help them identify and break the patterns that keep them “stuck,” providing strategies to enhance their relationships going forward.

My approach to therapy is fairly direct. Clients often seek answers to why they are experiencing stress and dissatisfaction in their lives and relationships. I work with them to identify the underlying issues and develop the skills necessary to remedy their problems.

In addition to traditional therapy, I provide performance coaching for athletes and CEO’s. Blending my competitive golfing history with my passion for psychology, I help athletes achieve success at both amateur and professional levels in an array of sports including  golf, tennis, baseball, basketball, hockey, diving, cross country, equestrian, lacrosse and football. I am skilled at helping athletes stay positive, develop deeper focus, and build the mental skills necessary to excel in their chosen sport. In addition, I help business leaders manage stress, define goals, cultivate their leadership style, and maintain healthy relationships.
