I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing for over 15 years working with a variety of clients and their challenges. My experience includes working at the JCFS Therapeutic Day School, the Cove School, Olin Sang Ruby Union Institute, and Lake Bluff Middle School.

My focus is on building solid, trusting relationships in order to process and reframe past and current patterns of thinking to achieve improved functioning in all aspects of life. My approach is to provide a genuine atmosphere of safety and care in order to help the client feel comfortable and heard. I believe that trust and a strong therapeutic bond are crucial to being able to work on helping the client, parents, and/or family process and cope with the difficulties they are faced with and be open to strategies that might help them heal from their current and past experiences. It is my goal to become fully engaged in the healing process and to help create positive change in the life of my clients and their families.

I have a mixed theoretical background, which includes CBT, Self-Psychology and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I use this background along with empathy and compassion to achieve strong relationships with my clients and to give them concrete strategies for the future.

Everyday provides us with challenges which weigh heavily on our minds. It is when we accept these challenges along with the bits of joy and face them head on that we can achieve our goals and lift up our spirits.
