About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and have prior experience working in a variety of outpatient settings, including treatment centers, hospitals, community mental health agencies and teen clinics. I currently facilitate a weekly SMART Recovery support meeting online. I have worked as a therapist at AiC since 2019 and primarily work with older teens, young adults, and adults.

My goal is to provide a non-judgmental and safe space for my clients to feel comfortable exploring the challenges they encounter and to develop a therapeutic relationship that is genuine, honest, collaborative, and empowering. I understand that it can be overwhelming to seek therapy and it is essential that my clients feel understood and supported. I utilize a variety of approaches in therapy, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Existentialism and Psychoanalysis.

I specialize working with individuals encountering anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, and other life transitions. I recognize that when people aren’t aware of healthy coping tools to utilize during distressing situations, they may rely on substances or engage in other problematic behaviors to seek relief. It can be difficult to know how to articulate your innermost thoughts and feelings, so I aim to work alongside my clients to help them process through their experiences, learn healthy coping skills, gain a sense of self, and navigate stressors along the way. I focus on assisting clients in gaining a better awareness of how to communicate their needs directly and identify when to utilize these tools if they are upset, frustrated, feeling alone, or feeling out of control.

I strongly believe in the power of human connection and empathy and I am very passionate about helping my clients feel empowered and motivated to live a life that is authentic and fulfilling. I recognize that each client that I work with is unique and deserves treatment that is tailored to meet their own specific needs.
