About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has been practicing for fifteen years, working with adolescents, young adults, adults, and families. My experience includes working at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, The Sonia Shankman Orthogenic School at The University of Chicago, Jewish Child and Family Services and Compass Health Center.
I specialize working with amateur athletes struggling with confidence, frustration tolerance, and performance anxiety. I coached basketball for ten years and taught sport psychology courses for five years. I have been invited to speak to sports organizations, providing education and tools to parents and coaches, focusing on character development of youth athletes. I love watching athletes find success and often am seen supporting their endeavors on their athletic playing field or court.
I believe the number one aspect of successful treatment is a strong, trusting relationship. I connect with clients through sports metaphors, movies, real life scenarios, and get to understand their interests. I help elicit self-awareness to create change by using a combination of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Psychoanalysis.
Life is hard, and I believe we need to embrace what is hard to navigate and create a life of meaning and fulfillment.
